No formula needed. Except the definition for probability, (# of successful outcomes)/(total # of outcomes), (assuming outcomes are equally likely), which is intuitive especially in card and dice games.

# of "successful" outcomes = 2 (either roll a 5 or 6)
# of total outcomes = 6 (1,2,...,6)

Probability = 2/6 = 1/3
