You can put this solution on YOUR website!
first question if N = 9/14, then N + 2/7 =
Substitute for "N" and add:
N + 2/7 = (9/14)+(2/7) = (9/14)+(4/14) = 13/14
---------------------------------------------------
2nd question writing to explain what common denominator would you use to add 1/3, 1/4 and 1/12? explain
---
Since 12 = 3*4 the common denominator is 12.
Adding:
(1/3) + (1/4) + (1/12)
-----
= (4/12) + (3/12) + (1/12)
-----
= (4 + 3 + 1)/12
----
= 8/12
----
= 2/3
