You can put this solution on YOUR website! 4. Prove that the sum of the interior angles of a triganle equals 180 degrees without using that theorem.
TAKE ABC ANY TRIANGLE . EXTEND BASE BC TO BCX.FROM C DRAW A PARALLEL CY TO AB.
CY IS PARALLEL TO AB.......CONSTRUCTION
AC IS A TRANSVERSAL.SO
ANGLE CAB = ANGLE ACY...( ALTERNATE ANGLES)
AND BCX IS A TRANSVERSAL.SO
ANGLE ABC = ANGLE YCX...(CORRESPONDING ANGLES)
HENCE SUM OF 3 ANGLES IN TRIANGLE ABC
= ANGLE CAB+ ANGLE ABC + ANGLE ACB = ANGLE ACT + ANGLE YCX + ANGLE ACB
= A STRAIGHT ANGLE ON LINE BCX=180
Given: line r is parrel to line s
Prove: m<1 + m<2 + m<3 = 180 degees
