You can put this solution on YOUR website!
(2 over x )first fraction - (9 over x+4) second fraction = 2
(2/x) - 9/(x+4) = 2
----
Multiply thru by x(x+4) to get:
2(x+4) - 9x = 2x(x+4)
2x+8-9x = 2x^2+8x
------
2x^2 +15x -8 = 0
Factor:
2x^2+ 16x-x-8 = 0
2x(x+8)-(x+8) = 0
----
(x+8)(2x-1) = 0
x = -9 or x = 1/2
------
