You can put this solution on YOUR website! An inheritance of $25,000 is divided among three investments yielding a total of $1,275 in interest per year.
4.5%, Amount- x
5%, Amount - x-4000
8%. Amount x-10,000
x+ x-4000+x-10000=25000
3x-14,000=25000
3x=25000+14000
3x=39000
x=13000
4.5%, Amount- $13,000
5%, Amount - x-4000=> 13,000-4000=9,000
8%. Amount x-10,000=>13,000-10,000= 3000
Check
13,000@4.5% +9000 @5%+3000@8% =$1275
.
