You can
put this solution on YOUR website!
8y-x=48
subtract -x
postive - negative= postive 48-(-x)=x+48
8y=x+48
divide everything by 8
8y/8=y, x/8=(1/8)x, 48/8=6
so the new equation is
y=(1/8)x+6
y=mx+b
M=slope
so (1/8) is the slope
