5(k-3)-7k >_ 4(k-3)+9
Use the distributive law to get:
5k-15-7k>=4k-12+9
Combine like terms on each side to get:
-2k-15>=4k-3
Add 2k to both sides; Add 3 to both sides to get:
-12>=6k
Divide both sides by 6 to get:
k<=-2
Graph as follows:
Draw a number line.
Label a point as -2
Draw a solid circle at -2
Draw an arrow to the left from -2 on the
number line.
That is the graph you want.
