Question 586604: how do you solve this: Two cars were traveling in the same direction on the same course. The first car was traveling 65mph and the second car was traveling 55mph. After how long were the two cars 45 miles apart?

You can put this solution on YOUR website!

It depends on how far the two cars were apart when they started. But let's assume they started at the same place and the same time. Then one car is going 10 miles per hour faster than the other. How long does it take to go 45 miles at 10 miles per hour

Hint: Time equals distance divided by rate.
