Question 586253: car drives 350 miles at the same time a plane travels 1300 miles. The speed of the plane was 190 miles faster than car. What is the speed of the plane.
I tried...
350/x=1300/x+190 and got a solution of 70. Not sure if that's right or what to do with it.

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
your solution is the speed of the car, not the plane

the problem tells you the speed of the plane in relation to the car
