You can put this solution on YOUR website!
A group of 7 boys and 5 girls
a- How many diffrent committees each consisting of 3 boys and 2 girls can be formed ?
Number of ways to pick the 3 boys = 7C3 = 35
Number of ways to pick the 2 girls = 5C2= 10
Number of different committees = 35*10=350
---------------------
b- If Tom is the head of the committee how many different committees can be formed?
One way to pick Tom who is a boy.
6C2 ways to pick the other two boys = 15
5C2 ways to pick the two girls = 10
Number of different committees = 15*10=150
