Question 583455: what is the inverse of f(x)=5^(.8x)?
Answer by stanbon(75887) (Show Source):
You can put this solution on YOUR website! what is the inverse of
y = 5^(.8x)
-------------
1st: Interchange x and y to get:
x = 5^(0.8y)
----
2nd: Solve for "y":
Take the log of both sides to get:
0.8y*log(5) = log(x)
---
y = log(x)/[0.8*log(5)]
----
y = log(x)/[log(5^0.8)
------------
