You can put this solution on YOUR website!
FOLLOW SAME METHOD AS BELOW
YOU WILL GET 0=0
HENCE THE EQNS.ARE DEPENDENT AND CONSISTENT.
SO THERE ARE INFINITE SOLUTIONS..ANY VALUE FOR X AND 2X-4 OR Y IS A SOLUTION
EX
IF X=0...Y=2*0-4=-4
IF X=1...Y=2*1-4=-2
IF X=2...Y=2*2-4=0
ETC...
Can someone help me on this problem?
I need to solve the following system by using either addition or substitution. If a unique solution does not exist, I have to state whether the system is dependent or inconsistent.
10x + 2y -= 7................1
y = -5x + 3
5X+Y =3.....................2
MULTIPLY EQN.2 WITH 2
10X+2Y=6.......................3
SUBTRACT FROM EQN.1
10X+Y-10X-Y=7-6
0=1
HENCE THE EQNS. ARE INCONSISTENT .
THERE IS NO SOLUTION

Ashley
