You can put this solution on YOUR website!
1) x%2F4+=+%28x%2B1%29%2F3 Multiply both sides by 4 then by 3.
3x+=+4x%2B4 Subtract 3x from both sides.
0+=+x%2B4 Finally, subtract 4 from both sides.
-4+=+x or x+=+-4 OK on this one!
2) 2%2F%28x%5E2-1%29+=+4%2F%28x-1%29 Factor the denominator of the left side.
2%2F%28%28x%2B1%29%28x-1%29%29+=+4%2F%28x-1%29 Multiply the right fraction by %28x-1%29%28x-1%29
2%2F%28%28x%2B1%29%28x-1%29%29+=+4%28x-1%29%2F%28%28x%2B1%29%28x%2B1%29%29 The denominators are equal so the numerators must be equal.
2+=+4%28x-1%29 Simplify.
2+=+4x-4 Add 4 to both sides.
6+=+4x Divide by 4.
6%2F4+=+x or...
x+=+3%2F2 OK on this one!
