Question 58187: My teacher (Mrs.Hawsey) wants us to do numbers 1 thru five.I could handle numbers 1,2,4,5 but I can't get or understand number 3.The question is Julio has ate 6 rasins and Cari has ate 4.If Julio ate 18 how many would Cari have eaten? Answer by rcmcc(152) (Show Source):
You can put this solution on YOUR website! Hello, this is a simple growth question. as Julio eats more rasins cari does as well at a certain percentage difference.
to find the difference take the 18 rasins in the final question and divide it by 6 rasins to find out mow much of an increase occured.
18/6=3 so Julio ate 3x more rasins than he did at first. because he at 3x as much Cari must eat 3x as much as well.
so cari ate 4x3 rasins, or 12 rasins,
Julio ate 18 rasins and Cari ate 12 rasins.
