Question 581267: Tickets to the theater cost men 5 cents, women 2 cents, and children a tenth of a penny. The theater owner wants to fill all 100 of the seats in the theater for a total of $1.00. What is the combination of men, women and children that can buy tickets?
I have tried trial and error for about 3 hours and I am stuck. Clearly the children have to be in multiples of 10 and there needs to be a good amount of them to make it to 100 total people. Thanks for your help.
