use cos addition formula to solve:
cos(s-t)=cos s cos t + sin s sin t
s=sin^-1 (1/3)
sin s=1/3
cos s=√8/3

t=tan^-1 (1/2)
sin t=1/√5
cos t=2/√5
cos[sin^-1 (1/3) + tan^-1 (1/2)]
=√8/3*2/√5+1/3*1/√5
=2√8/3√5+1/3√5
=(2√8+1)/(3√5)
