You can put this solution on YOUR website! Hello Sher,
5x + 7y = b
mx + y = 22
to solve for m and b, substitute the point for x and y, as x=-3 and y=4
5(-3)+7(4)=b
13=b
so b is 13
m(-3)+4=22
subtract 4 from each side
m(-3)=18
divide out -3 to isolate x
m=-6
so b=13 and m=-6
