In series the same current goes thru both resistors, equiv resistance is 200 ohms, then using ohms law
I = 24%2F200
I = .12 amps or 120 ma

In parallel we can use the product over sum formula
R = %28r1%2Ar2%29%2F%28r1%2Br2%29
R = %28100%2A100%29%2F%28100%2B100%29
R = 10000%2F200
R = 50 ohms
