Question 578891: 1. For what value of x is the function f(x) = 1 / (-6x-5) undefined? Explain why showing detailed calculations.

2. Provide a function in one variable for you classmates. Provide two values for the function variable that can be used by your classmates to evaluate the function.

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
1. f(x) is undefined when the denominator equals 0, i.e. -6x-5 = 0, x = -5/6.

2. How about . Find f(1) and f(1.666).

Then try f(2,3) where . Even though this is not in one variable, use what you know about functions (and some intuition) and try to generalize.
