Put the equation in the "slope/intercept form"
4y - 12 = 4x
4y = 4x + 12
divide both side side by 4
y = x + 3
:
The y intercept occurs when x = 0
y = 0 + 3
y = 3
the x intercept occurs when y = 0
x + 3 = 0
x = -3
:
Plot these two points: 0,3 and -3,0
should look like this
