Question 577657: I am working on graphing circles in algebra.
I have tried several ways to work this problem. I keep coming up with the same answers and I am at a loss to solve this equation.
Instructions are:
Graph circle.
x^2 + y^2 -2x +2y -7 =0
I came up with (2,-2) r=7
I am assuming this general form equation needs to be transformed into a standard form equation to find (h,k) and radius
I am not sure what to do differently from what I have tried.
I would appreciate your assistance in solving this problem.
Thank you.

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
x^2 + y^2 -2x +2y -7 =0
x^2-2x+4 +x^2+2y+4 -7 -8=0
(x-2)^2+(y+2)^2= 15
(2,-2) sqrt%2815%29
