Question 576619: In a high school 25% of the girls and 50% of the boys attended a football game. If 48% of all the students are girls, what percent of all the students went to the game?
Please help me answer this riddle. Answer by solver91311(24713) (Show Source):
25% of 48% is 0.25 times 48% = 12%. Unless there is a significant number of transgender students that don't count in either category, you can say that since 48% of the whole are girls, 52% must be boys. 50% of 52% is 0.5 times 52% = 26%. 26% and 12% is 38%.
