x+6=0 --> x=-6--> put -6 outside of the bar, put the coefficients in decending order in the inside like this:

The 2 and -1 are coefficients of one degree less that waht you started with:x and x^0 or 1, the 1 is the remainder and is written over the x+6 that you are dividing by. So your solution is:
