Question 575892: Please help me on this:
A racing snail quickly slows down before crashing into a pedestrian along the race course it was moving at a rate of 100cm/min and dropped it's speed down to 40cm/min in only 3 seconds. What was it deceleration rate? Answer by josmiceli(19441) (Show Source):
You can put this solution on YOUR website! the deceleration is ( change in speed ) / ( change in time ) ( cm/min ) / min
Note that 3 sec = 3/60 min (cm/min)/min (cm/min)/min x m/cm = m/min2
The deceleration rate is -12 meters/minute per minute
