You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Let X be the amount invested at 3%.
Let X+1250 be the amount invested at 5%.
134.50=.03X+(X+1250)(.05)
134.50=.03X + .05X + 62.50
134.50=.08X + 62.50
72.00=.08X
X=72.00/.08
X=900.00
$900.00 was the amount invested at 3%
$900.00 + $1250.00 = $2,150.00 was the amount invested at 5%.
