You can put this solution on YOUR website! You work these just the same way you work equations. You are trying to get the x all by itself in the middle. Whatever you do to the middle to accomplish that, you have to do to the ends.
-2 < 2x + 4 < 14
-2-4<2x+4-4<14-4
-6<2x<10
-6/2<2x/2<10/2
-3
