Question 57387: Please help I am stumped express answer as ordered pair x,y, if possible to the following linear equation
2x - 4y+8

You can put this solution on YOUR website! 1st: 2x - 4y+8
2nd: x - 2y=4
---------
Multiply 2nd by 2 to get:
3rd: 2x-4y=8
The two equation are the same.
The solution is every point on the
line 2x-4y=8
x-2y=4
y=(1/2)x-2
In (x,y) form the answer is (x,(1/2)x-2)
