You can put this solution on YOUR website!
The radii of circular ends of a solid frusum of a cone are 33 cm and 27 cm and its slant height is 10 cm.
find the total surface area.
:
The area of the conical surface: A+=+pi%2As%28R-r%29
where
s = slant height (10)
R = Larger radius (33)
r = smaller radius (27)
:
A = pi%2A10%2833-27%29
A = pi%2A10%2A6
A = 188.5 sq/cm; area of the conical surface
:
A =pi%2A33%5E2
A = 3421.2 sq/cm; the larger circular area
:
A =pi%2A27%5E2
A = 2290.2 sq/cm; the smaller circular area
:
Total area: 188.5 + 3421.2 + 2290.2 = 5800 sq/cm
