You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Let
Smaller number = y
Larger number = x

The sum of two numbers is 30
x+y=30..........(1)
The larger number is 5 more than four times the smaller one
x=4y+5..........(2)
Put the value of x from (2) to (1)
x+y=30..........(1)
4y+5+y=30
5y+5=30
5y=30-5
5y=25
5y/5=25/5
y=5
Put the value of y in (2)
x=4y+5..........(2)
x=4(5)+5
x=20+5
x=25

Smaller number = y = 5
Larger number = x = 25
Product of two numbers = 5*25 = 125

The sum of two numbers is 30.
a + b = 30
:
The larger number is 5 more than four times the smaller one.
a = 4b + 5
:
Replace a in the 1st equation with (4b+5), find b
(4b+5) + b = 30
5b = 30 - 5
b = 25/5
b = 5, then a = 4(5)+5 = 25
:
"Find the product of the number."
25 * 5 = 125
