Question 565817: my homework is asking me: For what values of x and y must each figure be a parallelogram?
1. it is a rhombus with 4y , x , 2y, and (5x-180) in each corner. (angle measures)
i tried to create a problem by doing 6y+6x-180=180 but it didn't work out and i don't know any other way to do it. can you please help thank you :)

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
The interior angles of a parallelogram add up to 180 deg
4y+x=180
2y+5x-180=180
2y+5x=360

4y+x=180
2y+5x=360 multiply the equation by -2 and to the other equation
-4y-10x=-720
-9x=-540
/-9
x=54
solve for y
4y+x=180
4y+54=180
4y=136
/4
y=39
