You can put this solution on YOUR website!
1. Find the slope for y-2x=2
Solve for y:
y-2x=2
y=2x+2
y=mx+b where:
y=a particular y value of the line
m=the slope of the line
x=the corresponding x value
b=the y-intercept of the line.
.
So, the slope(m)=2
.
2. find the slope for the line passing through (3,-1) and 1,3)
Use the slope formula:
(y-y2)/(x-x2)
Plug-in the values:
(3-(-1)/(1-3)
3+1/-2
4/-2
m=-2
