Question 565544: Again with the word problem!
To determine the number of deer in a game preserve, a game warden catches 324 deer, tags them, and lets them loose. Later 84 deer are caught; 28 of them have tags. Estimate the number of deer in the preserve. Answer by ad_alta(240) (Show Source):
You can put this solution on YOUR website! I would reason that the percent of tagged deer caught the second time is about the percent of all tagged deer. That would imply 28/84=324/x for 'x' the total number of deer. We get x=972 (this is an estimate, of course).
