It depends on what you do later. The real-world math problems are a LOT harder than the cube roots.
If you have no intention of doing anything more technical than checking on a bank account, then it's hard to justify some of the math classes. It's not my idea for you to have to take the classes.
But, if you learn something, it does increase your overall knowledge, and the brain seems to improve with exercise and use.
