You can put this solution on YOUR website!
A rental company charges $41 per day and $.33 per mile. If a truck was rented for 5 days and the total was $395.74, how far was the truck driven?
----------
Let the number of miles driven be "x".
Cost = 5(41) + 0.33x
395.74 = 205 + 0.33x
0.33x = 190.74
x= 578 miles
Cheers,
Stan H.
