Question 564409: I have a question that I (think) I got the correct answer, but it makes no sense in the context of the question. "The volume of a rectangular box is 16 cubic feet. If the dimensions are x, x-2, and x-2, find x and the actual dimensions of the box"
I solved by factoring and got 2i, -2i and 4. 2i and -2i don't seem like viable box side options.

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
"The volume of a rectangular box is 16 cubic feet. If the dimensions are x, x-2, and x-2, find x and the actual dimensions of the box"
-----
x(x-2)(x-2) = 16
x(x^2-4x+4) = 16
x^3-4x^2+4x-16 = 0
----
Real Number solution:
x = 4
