You can put this solution on YOUR website! Next time, could you add parenthesis to help me better understand what you are implying. I can only guess.
13/(x - 1) = 4/(x + 2)
13(x - 1)(x + 2)/(x - 1) = 4(x - 1)(x + 2)/(x + 2) Since you have an EQuation, you can multiply throughout.
13(x + 2) = 4(x - 1)
13x + 26 = 4x - 4
9x = -30
x = -10/3
You can put this solution on YOUR website! OH ... the dreaded "F" word in Math. "Fractions"
This one is just two fractions set equal to one another.
Cross multiply
Distribute
subtract 4x from both sides
subtract 26 from both sides
divide by 9
