You can put this solution on YOUR website! Let event A be the event of drawing a number greater than 6 (including Face Cards, Ace is low). P(A) = 28/52
Let event B be the event of rolling a 7 with two dice.P(B) = 1/6
Let event C be the event of drawing a Queen.P(C) = 4/52
-------------------------------------------------------------------
a.) If a card is selected from a deck, find P(A) = 7/13
b.) If two dice are rolled, find P(B) = 1/6.
c.) Find P(A and B) = (7/13)(1/6) = (7/78)
d.) Find P(A or C) = (28/52)+(4/52) -(4/52) = 28/52
e.) Are A and B dependent or independent events? Explain your answer.
Independent: Use whatever criteria your book states.
