Question 564080: Please please por favor help me! Im in Honors Geometry and i have no idea how to solve any polygons and i have a test on this on Monday January 30 2012! please help! Thanks! :D
you've been asked to build a window frame for an octagonal window. To make the frame you'l cut identical trapezoid pieces. What are the measures of the angles of the trapezoids? Explain how you found these measures.
THANKS SOOO MUCH!!!! :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

You can put this solution on YOUR website! Most probably 135, 135, 45, 45, because you have isosceles trapezoids that make an octagon whose interior angles are 135. You'll have to draw it out to see.
Update: You can't cut an octagon in half to obtain two trapezoids. You might need three or four or more. To draw it, draw a regular octagon ABCDEFGH. The quadrilateral ABCH would be one of the trapezoids whose angles are 135, 135, 45, 45. These angles come from the fact that the measure of an interior angle of a regular octagon is 135.
