You can put this solution on YOUR website! v^2-2v-24 | Reverse FOIL...find factors of 24 that add to -2.
24 = 12*2 (NO), 8*3(no), 6*4 (4 + -6 = -2...yes)
(v-6)(v+4)| if solving for v, set it = 0
v-6=0 and thus v=6
v+4 = 0 and thus v=-4
