You can put this solution on YOUR website! 2-2 = 0, not much of an arithmetic property. However, the number -2 functions as the "inverse element" of 2. Generally speaking, if e is an identity element, * is a binary operation, and x is some number (2 in this case) then there exists a y such that x*y = e for all x.
