complementary means they add up to 90 degrees
We have two angles, angle X and an angle that is x-20
we know that these two angles add up to 90
That gives us:
x+x-20=90
2x-20=90
2x=110
x=55
and the other angle will be 55-20=35 and 35+55 adds up to 90
