+b+=+2a+-+3+
Substitute the first equation into the second
+b+=+2%2811+%2B+b%29+-+3+
+b+=+22+%2B+2b+-3+
combine like terms
+b+=+2b+%2B+19+
subtract 2 b from both sides
+-1b+=+19+
multiply by -1
+b+=+-19+

Plug b into the first equation
