Question 560659: The base of a triangle is 6 meters and its area is 84 meters squared.
The base of a similar triangle is 18 meters. What is the area of the larger triangle? Answer by subudear(62) (Show Source):
You can put this solution on YOUR website! assuming that height of both triangle is same, h
area of first triangle,
(1/2)*b*h = 84
(1/2)*6*h = 84
h = 28 m
Area of new triangel will be, A = (1/2)*18*28 = 252 m^2
