Estimating the unite rate.
Hi. i know that the word unite equals one. Can you please tell me if i have done this right?
43 apples in 5 bags: Estimated 9 per bag
This is what i did to get this answer: 5 divided by 43. i got 8.6, then i rounded to the nearest 10th and got 9. Please tell me. Am i correct?
--------------
To the nearest 10th is 8.6, but 9 per bag makes more sense.
9 is rounded to the nearest unit, or whole number.
--------------
PS It's unit, not unite.
