Question 55916This question is from textbook Beginning Algebra
: Can someone help me on this problem?

  In planning for a new item, a manufacturer assumes that the number of itme produced x and the cost in dollars C of producing these items are related by a linear equation. Projections are that 100 items will cost $10,000 to produce and that 300 items will cost $22,000 to produce. I need to find the equation that relates C and x.

  Thanks,

You can put this solution on YOUR website! Can someone help me on this problem?

This is the same problem as:
Find the equation of the line which passes through the points (100, 10000)
and (300, 22000)
Can you do that? If not, post just that problem.
Equation of line:  y = 60x + 4000
All you need is to replace the y by C,
                   C = 60x + 4000
