: Can someone help me out on this problem? I sure am lost.
For the floor plan - a building that has four corners of a room located at the points (2, 3), (ll, 6), (-3, 18), and (8. 21), I need to determine whether the side throug the points (2, 3) and (11, 6) is perpendicular to the side through the points (2, 3) and (-3, 18).
Thanks,

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
slope of line through (2,3)(11,6) is
(6-3)/(11-2)=3/9=1/3
slope of line through (2,3)(-3,18) is
(18-3)/(-3-2)=15/-5=-3
therefore the line with a slope of -3 is perpendicular to the line with a slope of 1/3 (-3 is the negative reciprical of 1/3).
