SOLUTION: I am trying to figure out how to solve the system:
2x - y = -8
y + 3z = 22
x z = -8
This is what I have so far in eliminating the y variable from the first two e

Question 558965: I am trying to figure out how to solve the system:
2x - y = -8
y + 3z = 22
x z = -8
This is what I have so far in eliminating the y variable from the first two equations. 2x - y = -8
y +3 z = 22
That leaves 2x +3z = 14
I am stuck on how to eliminate x from the third equation since xz are together. Can you please help guide me to get the correct solution. Thanks. Answer by stanbon(75887) (Show Source):
