Question 557753: How do I solve the following for x?
log(base2)9 / log(base2)3 = log(base2)2x
I tried : [log(base10) 9/log(base10)2]/[log(base10)3/log(base10)2]
= log(base10)2x / log(base10)2

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
How do I solve the following for x?
log(base2)9 / log(base2)3 = log(base2)2x
**
log2(9)/log2(3)=log2(2x)
log2(3^2)/log2(3)=log2(2x)
2log2(3)/log2(3)=log2(2x)
2=log2(2x)
convert to exponential form: base(2) raised to log of number(2)=number(2x)
2^2=2x
4=2x
x=2
