A perfect square has 2 squares added (with plus signs) and double their product (the term that could have a minus sign).
A perfect square trinomial is the square of two binomials, thus:
In the case of your four answers, is a constant because the last term of all four of your trinomials is a constant. But no matter whether the sign is positive or negative, the two end terms in a perfect square trinomial must be positive -- plus times plus is plus or minus times minus is plus, right? One of your answers has a minus sign on the constant term.
