Question 555307: we are doing problem that involve substitution and the problem is
y=3x+4
6x-2y=4
i need the answer

You can put this solution on YOUR website!
y=3x+4
6x-2y=4
----
Substitute for "y" and solve for "x":
6x - 2(3x+4) = 4
6x -6x -8 = 4
-8 = 4
-----
That is a contradiction which resulted from
assuming there is a point (x,y) which satisfies
both equation. There is no such point.
-----
The lines are parallel; there is no solution.
